Bambi Eyes

Lately I get more and more questions like;
"What kind of mascara are you using? Or are those eyelashes from youreself?"

This is my secret...
I'm not using mascara on the top lashes and they are partly fake.

“Oh realy? But I cant find any place where they are sticked on. How is this possible? It looks so natural.”

It looks fantastic!

The way of placing these lash extensions makes it look like the lashes are natural.
Individual extensions are placed on each lash seperately. Every single lash gets a new thicker black hair attached to it. This is done with a special bonder.

When I was younger I was very shy and insecure about the way I looked. Since I'm a natural blond my lashes are also blond. I started painting my lashes darker, but that wasn't enough. Before I knew it make-up became an obsession, I was busy applying mascara and other make-up for at least 1 hour every morning. Lucky for me this time is in the past!
I can't show you any pictures from before, because I have these lashes for more than a year already.
With these lashes I'm very happy when I look in the mirror each morning. It feels so free! The only thing I do put on is a little eye-liner and some lipstick and after a minute I'm ready to go!

Today I went to studio Highlights for a refill...

This is how the extensions are placed

1. The first step is to place tape to protect the lower lashes.
Then you have to close your eyes and keep them closed until it's finished.

2. Placing the extensions by spreading out your own lashes with a pincet to place the individual extensions one by one to a lash with a special bonder.

3. Sealing the extensions.

4. Blowing them dry with a bladder pump.

5. The tape will be removed and you're ready to open your eyes to see the stunning result!

The first time I went for a new set it took 1,5 hours. This refill session took about 30 minutes.

Tip: Use oil free eyemak-up, facecare products and makeup removers, because oil will weaken the lash bonder.

Tip: Make sure your eyes are totally clean and free of make-up and oils before you get your lash extensions. When you come with make-up on they wil clean your eyes for you, but the extensions will last longer when you did it before.

Another question I often get is if my own lashes don't fall out. I still have as much as before I started wearing the extensions.

In the beginning I had to learn when I needed to go for a refill and how to take care of the extensions and not to rub my eyes. It was very frustrating when I did, because I had emty spots. When you do take good care you will only lose the extensions when your own lashes fall out due to natural growing process.

For some people it looks quite painful, because of the tape they place under the eyes for protecting your own bottom lashes. I can assure you it's not painfull at all.
When you keep your eyes closed as long as they say you have to you don't feel anything of placing the lashes.

It does cost more than mascara, though when your lashes are refilled only once every two weeks it's payable.
To me it's so worth it! Just look at the result, don't you agree?
